fersam group

His strategy of innovation, differentiation, and international expansion has been fundamental pillars that have guided the group's path over the years.
Today, Fersam Group actively operates in the agribusiness sector, mainly in Latin America, Real Estate, with Europe as its main market, and Finance with a global perspective.

We initiated the Agroindustrial unit in the second half of the 20th century with the acquisition and management of agricultural-livestock fields in Latin America, totalizing over 1,000,000 hectares across Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay.

In the last decade, the business focus expanded to include green energies in the corporate strategy, with sustainability and technology defined as growth vectors. At Fersam Agroindustrial, we invest, develop, and manage companies and projects related to the agroindustrial chain and new energies in Latin America.

In 2022, we conducted a strategic review that defined our vision and development lines for the coming years. The goal is to consolidate ourselves as a national benchmark in agricultural and livestock production, highlighting excellence, efficiency, and technology application, integrating ourselves into the value chain, and prioritizing sustainability.

The strategy includes maize seed production in collaboration with Bayer, the implementation of irrigation systems, and the genetic development of elite livestock. Facilities include silos with a capacity of 25,000 tons and a feed production plant with a capacity of 5 tons/hour. The company aims to achieve an estimated annual production volume of 50,000 tons.

Las Cabezas is the land that, among his immense territorial assets of 1,000,000 hectares, Don Serafino Ferruzzi cared for and loved the most.

In the 1970s, the Ferruzzi family acquired "Las Cabezas" through their local company, Entre Rios S.A., where they quickly transformed the traditional activity of permanent pastures into crops, placing particular emphasis on the cultivation of soybeans, a product that within a few years would make Argentina become a major world exporter.

The estate covers an area of approximately 20,000 hectares and is located in Gualeguay, in the southern part of the Entre Ríos province, Argentina. With around 16,000 hectares dedicated to crops and about 9,000 to 10,000 head of cattle, the company grows fine grains such as wheat and yellow peas, as well as soybeans, maize, and sorghum. In the livestock sector, a Hereford breed of cattle called "Las Cabezas" is maintained, and an "elite" herd is genetically developed. Following a strategy of vertical integration, around 80% of the operations are carried out internally, supported by its own machinery fleet.

To establish ourselves as a leading regional agroindustrial company known for our excellence, efficiency, integration, and technology application.

This accompanied by the integration into the value chain, seeking maximum alignment between businesses, and sustainability.
